Dracones is a non-profit organization with the goal of safeguarding, enhancing, and promoting Italian fantasy literary, artistic, and cultural production.

We aim to promote the professional development of fantasy writers through the provision of focused resources, the collectivization of efforts, and engagement with industry professionals; and to contribute to the popularization of Italian fantasy works in both local and international markets.

Our guiding principles are creativity, inclusivity, and professionalism.

In particular, Dracones is committed to:

• Creating a safe, respectful, and non-discriminatory space based on the principles of inclusivity, equality, and democracy. In our spaces, offensive attacks or language related to gender, identity, orientation, race, disability, or religion will not be tolerated.
• Defending the value and importance of human creativity, especially in the face of exploitation and issues related to the indiscriminate use of generative artificial intelligence, which threatens the value of the entire book industry.
• Rejecting the sponsorship or promotion of content created with generative AI and/or works published through vanity publishing.
